MM Lite Marketing API
Send optimized WhatsApp marketing messages with Marketing Messages Lite, accept the required Terms of Service, and onboard business customers.
We’re excited to invite you to use the Marketing Messages Lite API (MM Lite API)
starting April 2025.
- What is it:
- The Marketing Messages Lite API on the WhatsApp Business Platform is an
- easy-to-use Marketing Message API that automatically optimizes for deliveries and
- reads, to deliver a higher quality experience for people, and better business
- performance compared to Cloud API. Once you use this API you will see
improvement over time especially if end users use META platforms frequently.
Why Use MM Lite API for:
● Equal or higher delivery and read rates than Cloud API by ensuring people
receive messages that are valuable to them
● Exclusive marketing features not available for MM on Cloud: e.g., Time-to-live
(TTL), new creative formats
● Easy-to-transition from Cloud API:
➢ Use existing marketing message templates (same as Cloud API)
➢ Retain existing billing model with category "marketing_lite" in archived
reports and callbacks
➢ Use RML existing payload and endpoint to send marketing messages
But with an additional parameter "use_mmlite=true"
- How it works:
- Simply send your marketing messages using Marketing Messages Lite API, and Meta will automatically optimize your messages for deliveries and reads and enable a higher quality experience for people.
- add a new step stating that the client must accept the required request/Terms of Service in their WhatsApp Manager account in order to onboard and use MM Lite. Please refer to the Meta documentation (including the video guide) for the steps on how to accept the TOS.
