Administer Users

Create and manage International Reseller Webadmin users, support users, notifications, and support-user permissions.

Use International Reseller Webadmin to create and manage client users, support users, user alerts, and support-user permissions.

You can manage two types of accounts:

  • Users represent an organization or individual that uses the client portal to send messages.
  • Support users perform customer-support activities and typically have fewer permissions than an administrator.

Manage users

Open Manage Systems → Manage User to create and manage client portal users. You can create users, view user details, edit users, manage routes, and send notifications.

Create a user

  1. Open Manage Systems → Manage User.
  2. Enter the required details in the User Details section.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Confirm that the new user appears in the User Details section below the form.

User details

Field or controlGuidance
User NameChoose the username carefully because you cannot change it after user creation. The user signs in with this username. It must contain 4-11 characters. Press Tab to check username availability before moving to the next field.
User’s CurrencyChoose the currency carefully because you cannot change it after user creation.
User PasswordEnter a password with 5-8 characters.
Credit To Add (Paid)Enter the credit amount paid by the user. This amount is added to the Credit Balance. In exceptional cases, enter a negative value to deduct the Credit Balance.
Credit AllottedRead-only value showing the total credit provided to the user to date. This value is reduced only when you enter a negative value in Credit To Add (Paid).
Credit LimitEnter the maximum credit limit available to the user.
Default SenderName displayed in a message when the user does not select a sender in the client portal.
Log MaskingUse this option to hide message content or mobile numbers in client portal reports.
MIS Mail AlertSelect to send the previous day’s message summary and credit adjustments by email.
DLR Mail AlertSelect to send a detailed previous-day SMS summary by email.

You cannot change the user’s currency or username after creating the user.

After you submit the form, the system sends a link and credentials to the address entered in User Email. The user uses this link and credentials to sign in to the client portal and send messages. The system also sends account emails to this address.

View user details

The User Details section displays a table of created users and provides actions for managing each account.

DeleteDeletes the user account.
InactivatePrevents the user from signing in to the client portal.
ActivateAllows the user to sign in to the client portal.
EditOpens the user details for editing.

Deleting, inactivating, or activating a user displays a confirmation message. Click OK to continue.

Edit a user

  1. Find the user in the User Details section.
  2. Select the Edit action for that user.
  3. Update the details in the User Details section.
  4. Click Submit to save your changes.

To find a user, enter the username in the User Name field in the Search section, then click Search. You can also use the available actions to delete, inactivate, or activate the user.

Send alerts and module notifications

Alerts notify a user when a threshold is crossed on their account. The system sends alerts to the user’s email address.

  1. In the User Details section, select the relevant alert check boxes.
  2. Select MIS Mail Alert to send the previous day’s SMS summary and credit adjustments.
  3. Select DLR Mail Alert to send the previous day’s detailed SMS summary.
  4. Select Credit Alert and enter an email address in its corresponding field to receive an email when the Credit Balance falls below the Credit Limit.

The system also sends email notifications when you create or delete a user. If a user does not receive a notification, resend it from the Mail Log report.

Resend a module notification

  1. Open Reports → Log Report → MailLog Report.
  2. Search by username, date range, module, or a combination of these filters.
  3. Click View Report.
  4. In the report results, click Resend under the Action column.
  5. If a confirmation message appears, click OK.

After the email is resent, the system displays a confirmation message and increases the value in the NoOfTimes Sent column by one.

Select dates from the From and To lists or use the calendar icon when filtering the Mail Log report.

Manage support users

Support users perform customer-support activities and typically require fewer permissions than administrators. Create, edit, and manage their permissions from Manage Systems → Manage SubAccount.

Create a support user

Creating a support user creates a subaccount under your account.

  1. Open Manage Systems → Manage SubAccount.
  2. Enter the user credentials in the Sub-Account Details section.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Confirm that the username appears in the Sub-User Account section.

Support users sign in to the International Reseller Webadmin portal by selecting Support Account and entering their credentials.

Edit or delete a support user

  1. In the Sub-User Account section, select the Edit action next to the required username.
  2. Update the username or password in the Sub-Account Details section.
  3. Click Submit to save the changes.

To delete a support user, select the Delete action next to the username. If the system asks you to confirm the action, click OK.

Assign support-user rights

Control which areas of International Reseller Webadmin a support user can access. Grant only the tabs and options required for the user’s role.

  1. In the Sub-User Account section, select Change under the Permissions column for the required user.
  2. On the User Permission Management page, select an option from the Main Menu list.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select the required check boxes displayed for the selected option.
    • Select an option from the Sub Menu list, then select the required check boxes.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Review the assigned rights in the Permissions For User section.

The Main Menu list includes Dashboard, Manage Systems, and Reports. Selecting Reports displays report categories in the Sub Menu list. Selecting Manage Systems displays the options available within the Manage Systems tab.

The Permissions For User section displays the assigned option or report name under Menu Name and the date and time of assignment under Assignment Date.

The Manage Page permission area includes check boxes for granting user editing, deletion, and credit access rights. Select the required check boxes and click Submit.

Edit support-user rights

To assign more rights, repeat the procedure in Assign support-user rights. Rights that are already assigned do not appear as available check boxes when you add more permissions.

To remove an assigned right:

  1. Select the check box next to the assigned option.
  2. Click Delete Selected.
