Create an A/B test to compare campaign variants and identify what works best for your audience.

Before you start

Prepare the following before creating an A/B test:

  • Decide what you want to test, such as the subject line, sender details, email content, or an existing template.
  • Prepare the email variants you want to compare.
  • Select a contact list with enough contacts. The contact list must contain contacts equal to or greater than the number of variants selected.

Create an A/B test

  1. Open Create A/B Test
    Access Create A/B Test from the menu.

  2. Set up the campaign
    Name the campaign, select the campaign type, and choose the number of variants.

  3. Configure components
    Choose what part of the campaign you want to test.

  4. Design test emails
    Create the email variants that you want to test.

  5. Select a contact list
    Choose a contact list with sufficient contacts. The contact list must contain contacts equal to or greater than the number of variants selected.

  6. Set the test size
    Configure the testing scope for the A/B test.

  7. Define success metrics
    Establish the winning conditions that determine the best-performing variant.

  8. Specify duration
    Set the test timeline and variant priorities.

  9. Review and schedule
    Review the A/B test summary and schedule deployment based on your campaign needs.

Before scheduling, confirm the selected variants, contact list, test size, success metrics, duration, and variant priorities.
